Bronte Residence
Set on a cascading block, steel screw piles were used to transfer the building loads down to a suitable bearing level, some 10 metres below the surface. Staggered platforms were then constructed to enable the sandy site to be restrained upon which the highly detailed home was then built.
The home includes a mixed palette of natural materials including recycled timber, recycled brick and polished concrete to create a sense of warmth and texture. The stunning gardens settle the building and provide discrete spaces and connection to the home.
