Crows Nest II

Set on a small site, this house was designed to create a feeling of space and connection with the outside. The first floor addition and rear extension contained within a modest footprint, feel light & airy and provide flexibility of use for the owners. The natural palette of materials throughout feature recycled bricks, hardwood timber and flooring, formply joinery and shou sugi ban cladding (a traditional Japanese building technique of charring wood).
