Winner of the Australian institute of architects (Nsw chapter) award 2012
Alterations and additions to an existing residence encompassing passive solar design principles, and use the of recycled building materials. The extension to the rear is flooded with natural light through the use of lightweight steel framed windows and double height void spaces.
The project also incorporates energy efficient systems such as hydronic floor heating and solar power concealed within the structural and finished elements.
